Sharing yoga with Earth’s newest yogis is a magical and rewarding practice that requires profound wisdom and experience in order to offer a class that is engaging, fun, and properly paced.

 

How can newborn babies, infants, and toddlers engage in breathing techniques, asana, and music?  How do we make yoga fun for kids and teenage children?

 

If you are a yoga teacher, parent, school teacher, caregiver, or curious human, this immersion will offer tools and ideas on how to create a class that is appropriate for all stages of a baby’s life.

What You will learn?

 

-Do’s and Don’ts of baby and kid poses

-Techniques for teaching a lap baby versus a crawler or walker

-Techniques for teaching older kids and teenagers to keep them engaged

-Including and engage the adult/caregiver during the practice for babies and toddlers 

-Choosing the right musical instruments, props, and playlists for babies and toddlers

-Choosing the right instruments for older children and teenagers

About Cynthia Zak

Cynthia Zak is a yoga, meditation and mindfulness magister. She is a Yoga Therapist (500 hs RYT), special needs yoga teacher, heart brain coherence specialist, writer and musician. 
 
She is the creator and founder of Yomu, an international mindfulness system to work with children and is the singer and songwriter of more than 150 songs for yoga, breathing and body awareness. 
 
She has been traveling the world teaching kids and families all about yoga and mindfulness and is passionate about sharing the beauty of breathing and music with children all ages. 
 
Thousands of kids and families enjoy her music and unique way of connect the body and mind with sound, vibration and instruments.  Her classes and trainings are filled with all type of instruments, original games, a unique way to teach yoga poses creating an amazing connection between each of the participants. 
 
She is the author of 5 books and is currently training parents, teachers and health professionals on heart brain coherence and creating new songs and music to connect the human spirit with kindness and compassion.
 
Cynthia is fully bilingual in English and Spanish so her classes are filled with songs and music in both languages.  She has more than 20 years of experience teaching babies, children and families yoga, breathing and meditation and over 450 kids per week take her classes.

She is also a certified Prenatal Khalsa Way Yoga Teacher, and a Death Doula expert on impermanence and transition working with women and families in the processes of birth and death.

Guidelines

This is a unique opportunity to expand your practice, explore yoga with the purest beings, and step out of your comfort zone to experience an entirely different art form within the field of yoga.

– Open to all experience levels (yoga teacher certification not required)

– Please don’t bring your baby or child to the training. This is to gather the tools that you can then apply when you are with them!

– Please bring a baby doll that we can practice with.

Payment is non-refundable but is transferrable to a different training at Fresh Prana Yoga. Payment plans available by request. 

Upon graduating this course we have opportunities to mentor Cynthia in her offerings as a shadowing program to fully digest this material into your life.  This offer is available to request and programming and pricing is available by request.
